Lee Soo Man has officially pissed off Super Junior fans. How? By going forth with the debut of Super Junior-M(andarin), a 7 member sub-group of the original 13-member Super Junior, for the Chinese market.
Super Junior-M consists of original members Han Kyung, Shi Won, Dong Hae, Ryuh Wook, Kyu Hyun and two new Chinese members Henry and Zhoumi. All seven members will be performing and recording their album in Chinese.
The original five members of Super Junior (who are now in Super Junior-M) might be happy that they’re finally getting some attention, but the fans are far from happy. Fans demand the original 13 members (Hee Chul, Kang In, Ki Bum, Shi Won, Dong Hae, Han Kyung, Ryuh Wook, Shin Dong, Yeh Sung, Kyu Hyun, Lee Teuk, Sung Min, and Eun Hyuk) to remain as the one and only Super Junior. They expressed their anger on Suju’s fan club homepage. The fans also threatened that if Super Junior-M does not break up now, the fans will make it their priority to cause harm by boycotting the group’s album and products.

A time-slot dispute occurred between SM Entertainment and MBC when SM insisted to have Kang-In stay on SBS’s Explorers of the Human Body instead of MBC’s Sunday Night Dong-An Club (동안클럽) where Kang-In has been a regular host. MBC temporarily banned the rest of Super Junior from appearing in any future performances and shows hosted by MBC.[81] Kang-In also lost his MC jobs to T.O.P of Big Bang for the music show, Show! Music Core and also two more variety shows, which both soon canceled after Kang-In left.[82] MBC demanded an apology from SM Entertainment in order for Super Junior to appear on shows hosted by the channel again. However, MBC concluded that Super Junior’s ban was never official, but just a decision for shows’ producers to decide

In late 2007, when producer Lee Soo Man announced that he would be adding a new member (Henry) to Super Junior, fans were outraged. Many fan club members, better known as ELF (EverLasting Friends), rallied outside of the SM Entertainment head quarters and demanded that their favorite 13 member boy band remain the same.
Now in 2008, Lee Soo Man ignored what had happened and announced that he will be adding a Chinese member to Super Junior sometime soon. Again, fans were outraged and had another strike. But this time, the Elves got smart and used a big weapon.
“To support Super Junior and protest against SM Entertainment, we have decided to put our money together and buy SM stocks. We have legal representation of them now since we are company stockholders,” a statement release from the fans. “Our protest is against SM Entertainment adding new members at their call. Even with our small possibility, even with one stock, we are working towards obtaining a seat. As of today, we have 58,206 shares.” To magnify the numbers even more, superstar Kwon BoA owns less than double of that (100,000 shares)! Out of the 160 million shares that have been released, the fans now own 0.3%.

Super Junior fans have started a campaign called One Fan One Stock for international fans as well. All the blame goes towards Chou Than, the new member that SM Entertainment added without ‘consent’ from the Elves.
PT: Does this mean that suju repitation is going downward & that why they are adding this new member Chou Than or Is it that SM just wanted more $$ to come out of suju.

ELF’s across the globe are mourning. No, not because the threat of a new member joining Super Junior. But because Super Junior will no longer be the MC’s of MNET MCountdown. After more than 2 years of hosting the show, they’re finally saying goodbye. Why are they saying goodbye? The reason why they’re leaving the show is to focus on their upcoming album and Asian Tour.
Initially in 2005, they were supposed to be just fill-in temporary hosts – but because of their popularity MNet decided to let them be the full time hosts. The final episode for Super Junior will be on March 27th and the hosts for that episode will be Lee Teuk, Shindong and Eunhyuk. There is no word on who the replacement host(s) will be.
No word on ELF’s picketing and rioting outside of MNet studios … yet.
